According to the insulation material, protective performance, and functional characteristics, control cables can be divided into multiple categories, suitable for different working conditions and scenarios. The most commonly used classification method in daily applications is as follows:
1. Classified by insulation material
-PVC insulated control cable (KVV): the most universal basic type, with high cost-effectiveness, stable insulation protection performance, wear resistance, and easy installation. It is suitable for conventional indoor, bridge, and pipe laying, and is widely used in conventional control circuits of civil buildings and ordinary industrial workshops.
-Cross linked polyethylene insulated control cable (KYJV): It has high temperature resistance, aging resistance and stronger insulation performance. Its long-term operating temperature can reach 90 ℃, which is far superior to PVC material. It has excellent flame retardancy and low temperature resistance, and is suitable for industrial scenes with high temperature, airtight and poor ventilation.
-Rubber insulated control cable: excellent flexibility, bending resistance, oil and wear resistance, outstanding anti vibration performance, often used in mobile equipment, mechanical equipment, vehicle control and other working conditions that require frequent bending and vibration.
2. Classify by blocking function
-Unshielded control cable: no shielding layer, simple structure, low price, suitable for ordinary scenarios with weak electromagnetic interference and short signal transmission distance, such as building lighting and start stop control of ordinary equipment.
-Shielded Control Cable (KVVP/KYJVP): Equipped with a copper wire braided shielding layer, it can effectively shield external electromagnetic interference, avoid signal distortion and command confusion, and is specifically used in complex electromagnetic environments such as power plants, substations, automated production lines, precision instruments, DCS control systems, etc., which require extremely high signal stability.
3. Classified by special performance
-Flame retardant control cable: does not spread in the event of fire, self extinguishes when away from fire, effectively prevents the spread of fire along the cable, reduces fire hazards, and is suitable for densely populated and enclosed places such as shopping malls, office buildings, and computer rooms.
-Fire resistant control cable: It can maintain normal communication for a certain period of time in high-temperature environments during a fire, ensuring the continuous operation of fire linkage equipment and emergency control systems. It is a specialized cable for fire engineering and emergency systems.
-Low smoke and halogen-free control cable: no halogen toxic gases during combustion, low smoke concentration, environmentally friendly and safe, suitable for closed and densely populated scenarios such as subways, tunnels, underground pipe galleries, high-end buildings, etc
